Sophie Delezio is one very strong little girl !!!
She remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital after a car ploughed into her pram as she was being pushed across a pedestrian crossing on Frenchs Forest Road at Seaforth, in Sydney's north, on Friday 5th may 2006.
In December 2003, Sophie lost both feet, some fingers and suffered third degree burns to 85 per cent of her body when she was trapped under a car that crashed into the Roundhouse Childcare Centre at Fairlight
The types of machines that are helping to save Sophie’s life are available to her because of the generosity of others.
Sophie’s family have called for support for The Day of Difference Foundation as this will maximise benefits for the many children that need help.
"The Day of Difference Foundation is a health promotion charity focusing on the prevention and control of burns-related disease. Our goal is to do so by using the funds we raise to buy the equipment and fund the research that hospitals use to not only combat, but also control the spread of such diseases, which is often the key to the recovery and survival of burns patients"
